any LVN jobs that deal more with computers/records/paperwork?

Published

Are there any LVN jobs that require mostly computer or records and less with patient face to face contact? For example medical record technicians? By the way where can I go to school for medical record technicians?

Whats your experence?

We've employed LVN's as intake coordinators in home health and I know KCI employs LVN's in some type telephonic/reimbursement capacity having spoken with them.

What about getting coding certified?

On occasion, you will see ads on employment websites for LVNs to work in a home health office doing various administrative duties. Imagine one could get involved in a lot of activities, to include preparation of the 485s; that would involve heavy computer input.

I'm currently a medication nurse at a psych unit. I've been working there for almost 8 months.

I personally am not familiar with how psych experience would cross over but you might find more options in the Psych Nurse Forum.
