friday i just applied to the lvn :nurse: program in austin, tx and was wondering if anyone else has applied for next semester or 2013? would also like advice from lvn graduates on teachers, books and what to expect for when i get in. thanks!

Congrats! As I speak I an waiting to take my state boards...all I can say is prepare to put your life as you know it on hold, and prepare for lots of reading and fatigue. It's so worth it once you walk across the stage for that diploma. Learn how to answer questions and study to know, not to pass test.

I am going into my second semester of the program and my best advice is to stay on top of your studies and try not to fall behind! Keep up with lecture, and I found it was very beneficial to read each night, what our instructor was going to be going over in lecture the following day. Best of luck! In VA...through their vocational school adult program

Hello all, I am trying to get into an LVN program here in central California. They have told me that I need to take the TEAS first. My question is however, if the TEAS exam for LVN's is the same exam for the RN program? I have already taken the TEAS and failed once already. Any advice would be much appreciated. :)

The TEAS exam is the same for both. There is a study book and practice exam that you can buy on the TEAS websites which is supposed to be very helpful and I just found an app as well for iPhone and iPad that sound like another good source to help you prepare. I will be taking the test the end of the year and I'm definately going to get both to help me prepare. Good luck to you!!

Where in VA? I just applied for LPN in Virginia Beach. Taking the TEAS on Friday.
