lvn graduate 2 years

Published

I've been an LVN graduate for a little over 2 years now. I've taken the nclex-pn once a year ago and failed. I know the longer you put it off the harder it will become to study and take the exam. All i can say is it has finally registered in my brain that after this long i am more serious than ever to finish what i started a few years ago. I've been reading the forums lately, but for not being fresh out of school my mind is boggling on how to approach studying. I've forgotten many things since i graduated. I find myself picking through the middle of my notes not knowing where to begin. Although, i'm knowledgeable in lab values and mathematical equations (ex : passing meds drip factor, etc). I have a few books for questions and rationale including exam cram on my PC. Is it best just to keep doing questions or should i approach this differently?

I passed my LPN NCLEX and soon will be taking the RN NCLEX with quite a break (3 years) between tests. My plan is to gather as many NCLEX testing books I can find and study off of them, if I am unsure of the material the question is asking about I will then hit my books and re read. You will be surprised how much you remember

Yes I do understand I just took my nclex-pn last week and failed. I been out of school for 2 years also but I work at a hospital everyday so I do see things. I didn't think the test was hard but I failed it...:) What I think is that you have to understand the questions ,and what they are asking for. Like some things are teaching, and somethings are to see if they understand .

that makes sense. I actually am just doing questions and quizzes right now. I fail them but i remember a lot that i thought i have forgotten.
