It's never too early to start looking for a job as an LPN, even if they won't let you work until you get your license. I had a job lined up at a nursing home while I was still in my last month of school, but could not start patient care until I had my license verification online. I did go through a few days of training before I had my license, but I was not allowed to do any hands on work.
I also temped through an agency. They started me working positions that didn't require licensed personnel, such as a one-on-one or sitter, and as an aide in group homes for the developmentally disabled. That was a good opportunity since it got my foot in the door, and I later went back as an LPN to work in those same group homes after I left my job at the nursing home.
