LVN GI lab questions

Hi everyone! I am wondering if anyone one works in the GI lab as an LVN? If so I have a couple of questions. Thanks in advance!!

Do you mean endoscopy?

I am assuming it is endoscopy, but the job title says GI Lab. I have worked in Endoscopy as a Tech/Medical Assistant, and was just wondering if the two were the same.

I would suppose the duties would depend on where you practice.

In my hospital, it's admit, IV start, fluids, send to the suite, monitor post procedure, educate, discharge.

Oh ok. It is in Texas. I believe in Canada, LVNs have a wider scope of practice than here in the USA. On a side note, I was in Edmonton this summer. We were driving from Elmendorf AFB, Alaska to Lackland AFB, TX. It is a beautiful location.
