Luzerne County Community College Experiences?

Published

I'm a prospective nursing student who's waiting on letters from a couple of schools still. I was wondering if anyone has any information to share about their nursing experience at Luzerne County Community College.

Thanks!

Rose

I just took the DET there today! I still have about 1 1/2 year of prereqs in front of me so I'm not quite sure which route to take. I'm looking into Fortis to get my LPN. We'll see how things go.

It's a challenging program, but overall it's great. Never realized how much driving was involved with nursing school until I was assigned a clinical over an hour and a half away. That's one of the things that sucked majorly... people would camp out early in the morning for the good clinical spots.

Im at LCCC now, finishing my pre-reqs, and hopefully getting into the program for fall of 2011. My brother is in the program, and one of my good friends is as well, they both have said its great, alot of work but they love it. Ive heard horror stories of how hard it is to get in though.

I too am waiting for the fall 2011 acceptance/denial letter, I took the first semester of pre reqs and recieved a 4.0 and was put on the presidents list for the fall 2010, i scored well on the det as well (93 math, 73 english), Im currently taking the second wave of pre reqs (developmental psych, a&p 2, and Microbiology in the summer), crossing fingers waiting..........

found out yesterday i made it in, just sent in my letter saying yes hold my seat

I got in too!!! Congratulations! Im so excited, i didnt I was getting in my GPA is great but I did terrible on the DET, maybe Ill see you in the fall! What classes do you have now?

Did anyone get an acceptance for the evening clinicals yet?

I just got my acceptance letter for the evening program. I was accepted last year into the day program but had to defer it. Does anyone know what the schedule is like?

Hi all. I am currently waiting to see if I got accepted into the program for fall 2015. Do you mind sharing you experiences of the LCCC program?
