Thanks, Gooey. I appreciate your help. Luzerne is the program I'm beginning to lean to more and more simply for the fact that the cost is almost 1/3 that of the Pottsville program.
It's good to know that they've got such a good quality program and obviously employers see Luzerne graduates as employment worthy, awesome :) If I do indeed attend this program, I will be taking my classes at the Kulpmont campus.

Hello all. I was hoping to get some feedback regarding two nursing programs I'm considering, one being the ADN program through Luzerne Community College, and the other being the ADN program through the Schuylkill Health School of Nursing in Pottsville.
I've done a search of both programs, but couldn't find any recent info. I have a neighbor that just graduated from SHSON this year and not only had nothing but good things to say about the program, but also was hired on with the hospital almost immediately and according to her, basically everyone in her whole class already have jobs. My only problem is that I find the cost to be rather expensive compared to other programs in the surrounding areas.
I'm also curious to what the job market is currently like for the Schuylkill/Dauphin county areas. My ultimate goal is to work at Penn State/Hershey Med. as an oncology nurse in their new cancer institute.
Any feedback from Luzerne and SHSON graduates would be appreciated :)
