Hoping to connect with new grad nurses who applied to Lurie Children's Nurse Residency Program for Aug/Oct 2024!

Has anyone from the non-critical care areas received an offer yet? 🙂

Congrats to everyone who got an offer already! Has anyone else heard back with an offer or rejection?

I was wondering if anyone knew if the residency program pays the new grads, and if there was an hourly range of pay. I cannot seem go find anything online in regard to that.

I got a call with an offer on Monday and an official call from HR today. What unit did you interview with?

Hey Meg! Do you have any tips for the PICU interview and do you know how many PICU positions were given for your cohort? I have mine next week 😭

How long did it take for you external new grads to get your temporary RN license in Illinois? I am nervous because I haven't received my ATT yet and I start March 2025. I don't want my start date to get pushed back. What was your experience ?

Hi guys!

I was wondering if anyone would be able to shed light on the hiring/onboarding process for the new grad residency program (if offered a position?) I heard it was a long process, but I'm worried I may be out of town when the offers are supposed to be extended! Will I have a time frame for when I need to have my background check, drug screen, and titers tested and physical examination completed by? If so, does this get done before or after my scheduled NCLEX? Or right after the offer is extended? This is literally my dream job so I don't want to mess up any opportunities because I took a vacation to celebrate graduation before working. LOL

Thank you guys for your help!
