Lurie Children's New Grad RN Internship - Fall 2018

Hello everyone! I applied to Lurie Children's new grad internship on May 1, 2018. I applied for the hem/onc and resource pool listing. I know that interviews are supposed to be held in June and was wondering if anyone had heard anything yet.

I had problems with their online application (my resume was invisible) but HR assured me that everything was fine. I recently tried to check my status and found that I am no longer registered in their system; they updated everything mid-May. I tried contacting HR without luck. I'm a bit worried because when a similar thing happened to me in PA, they had completely lost my application.

Is anyone else in the same boat? Also, is anyone else applying from out of state?

I interviewed for PICU as well and haven't heard anything, but it's comforting knowing I'm not the only one!

I am also still waiting to hear from PICU. I am tempted to call HR, but I know they said it can take 2 weeks for them to contact us. I've only heard people that got offers from other floors. No PICU yet... I hope this is a good sign!

I received an offer from hem/onc on Friday! I start in October and will be moving to Chicago from out of state. Any chance someone else is looking for a roommate? Good luck to everyone; hopefully the PICU gets back to you all soon!

I am in the exact same boat! Moving from out of state and starting in October! I was hoping there would eventually be a facebook group of the new nurse interns so that we could meet eachother before starting because I also need a roommate!

As of today, I still have not heard from PICU. I had a friend hear from Neuro/Endo Tuesday. I had a friend hear from CCU Thursday. And I had a friend hear from general med/pulmonary on Friday.

She graduated in May, but I believe they were given a choice on start dates and since she is moving from out of state, she chose October

I heard of someone that received a PICU offer Thursday. I'm assuming those offers went out last week now. Congrats to everyone!
