I haven't heard anything. I might call again on Monday. Still waiting to hear from NICU and Gen/pulm.

I interviewed last week for the PICU heard that they were only taking NICU applicants from their student nurse program

Then why would they have opened up the position to outside applicants?

Interview went well, but still have not heard. And I am confused why they opened up NICU as well since I also applied there and never heard anything back from them on it.

Okay so I called HR a week or so ago...they looked up my specific file and said that for me the PICU and ER were "closed" as in I got rejected which made sense since I got emails. My NICU file was still open and she could see that they had reviewed it and shared it between them but moved past it to interview others. This would seem like a rejection and the HR person couldn't understand either why it was still open and why I hadn't gotten an email. She said that they are probably leaving it open as a back-up in case they decide not to hire who they interview. I'm counting it as a rejection at this point even though I guess technically it isn't until they hire everyone.
