Hi All,

I applied to Lurie's Children Hospital RN Internship program at the beginning of May, and with I'm assuming most of us eager to hear back on the August Cohort! I thought we could create a thread to discuss information we have gathered about the program, questions we may have, as well if people have received interview information / offers!

I also applied to NICU and Hem/onc, and never heard back. My application status is also “under review.” I’ve interviewed somewhere else, but I’m just curious if anyone ever heard back from either of those units...

I just assumed I didn't get asked for an interview because it's already July, but my application still says "under review" so I'm wondering what units people have gotten interviews for?

Hello -- just about 2 weeks from my interview date. I was wondering if offers have already been given. If not, does anyone have insight on when I should expect to hear back? Thanks

Did anyone interview for resource? I interviewed for ped/surg/transplant july 1st. I was told that offers would be sent out in about two weeks.

hi everyone!! late to the thread, but I interviewed for NICU June 19 and shadowed June 27. External candidates interviewed first and internal candidates got interviewed yesterday is what I was told. They said I should hear back earliest today! They said August is the most competitive so don't be discouraged if you did not recieve an interview and apply for the October start date!

Thank you so much for the information. It’s good to know! By any chance if you don’t you mind saying, was the NICU interview a peer interview with multiple applicants? Good luck and hope you get an offer ?

It was one on one! Small time spent with director, educator gave me a tour, as well as the manager. I was only asked a few questions by the director and the rest was receiving information about the residency and the unit in particular. I received a call for a 4 hour shadowing experience the next day. I'm sure every floor does this differently though!
