LTC in Northern Virginia?

Published

I am planning to move to Northern Virginia this summer, and I am wondering about the job outlook for RN's in that area. I have 10 years of experience in SNF/LTC's, but I am worried about not being able to find a job once I move. Anyone in this forum from VA? Any info or suggestions would be welcome, including salary info ;).

I have posted a few questions in the Virginia forum, and no one responds :crying2:, so I am hoping the mods don't move this post to that vast wasteland!

I'm sorry, I know nothing. Just wanted to say Hi. We're moving to Arlington in July. I'm a little worried about job prospects there too. Here I have such a good network, there I don't know anyone!

Specializes in LTC, ER, ICU, Psych, Med-surg...etc....

I am from Virginia. There are numerous LTC in the Northern Virginia area that I am certain are in the market for nurses. There are facilities in Arlington, Manassas, Alexandria, Warrenton, Winchester, Fairfax, Annandale, Berryville, Leesburg, Ft. Belvoir, McLean, Woodbridge, just to name a few. Go to the VHCA website and they list all the facilities by area. I do not have salary info though, sorry.

Thanks for the feedback. I will check the website for more info. Guess I'm just a bit nervous about being able to find a job once I move, with the market the way it is now...
