<Information about Touro Nevada>

hi everyone!

i got accepted to touro nevada today and wanted to know if any students/anyone knew any specifics about the program? i.e. class/clinical scheduling, academic work load, curriculum, and is as ridiculously as complicated/difficult as the faculty made it seem during my interview...i have said before that they made it seem way too tough or either really good, i am still not sure which one to go with! i am excited though and interested in any information, which anybody can pass on! i was told about this specific camp thing that they are doing right before the july start, what is that all about? i still have not been told too much info about it from the college.

OOOO! That's exciting. I got an E-mail two days ago saying they couldn't find my TEAS score. I resent it yesterday, but now I have'nt heard anything....Let us know when you get the final word! Good luck!

JBJenurse- thanks for ur update. So looks like next week the committee will decide. Let me know if you hear anything further. I'm coming out from so cal and Touro is the only place I applied to, so I'm hoping for good news.

Lola- I haven't heard anything either- sort of driving me off the wall but trying to stay busy. Thanks for the update- if I hear anything i'll post, and if any anyone else hears anything would love an update!! Thanks!

Anyone heard anything yet or tried to call? I haven't heard back yet, just that one follow up email before my app went to the nursing dept. Let me know :)

I haven't heard anything and I called to get an update, left a message but haven't heard back. Wonder how many applicants they got? Does anyone know the true deadline for the applications?

Yes the deadline was June 30th. ---- told me we will know on july 30th, but could also find out as soon as the 15th. They take 50 applicants and I find it hard to belive that there are 50 people out there that can pay this tuition. Hopefully we will find out soon!

I talked to ----- last week. She told me the admissions committee was going through all the applications received before the June 30th deadline on Tuesday the 6th, and that she was going to try to contact the applicants on Friday the 9th or next week.

Since then all I have received was a question to clarify one of my prerequisite classes.

P.S. I think she mentioned the deadline for applications was extended to July 30th.

I took a tour and met with --- at the end of June. She told me that the deadline had been extended to July 30th. I'm thinking that's a good sign, like maybe they didn't have that many applicants so they extended in order to allow more people to apply?

Also, she told me that they ONLY notify applicants of decisions by mail. She made a point of telling me they did not E-mail or call regarding acceptance decisions. Did she say otherwise when she said she would be contacting on Friday or this coming week?
