It was a mix of both.

I heard someone was given multiple choices with his questions. Did that happen to anyone else?

Yes, They asked three clinical questions with multiple choice for all of them.

They asked a bit about what patient's I took care of I think as a general question to give you room to drive the interview how you want. I made sure to hit on some big drugs, the aspects of the teaching hospital I was at and how it benefited my education. I could see how people would get stuck here since it's such a general question.

Has anyone heard back yet? They told me specifically that it was the first day of interviews so to be patient but they would get back to us in a couple weeks. Not sure if they want to conduct all interviews first and then send out invitations or how it usually works?

Yea, they told me they would have all decisions by mid- to late- August. Interview was not terrible, one woman handled 4 clinical questions right out the gate. Another woman asked all the personal stuff afterwards. 

How long did yall's interviews go for? I know last year they said around 15min each and some were shorter. I feel like I asked lots of questions right out the gate and it ended up being closer to 30min that we talked for. I also asked a cheesy question toward the end since my interview was at 1230pm. I asked what everyone had for lunch and they seemed to like that. It was a good little ice breaker. 

Did you guys feel like they rushed your interview or did they seem to make a connection with you? In previous years people reported being rushed. What personal questions did they ask?

Does anybody know when the last day is for interviews?

They have 2 more interview dates. Aug 2nd and another but I do not know the exact date. They should be done with interviews this week. 

How much did yall prepare for yalls interviews? I feel like I am overloaded with information yet not ready at all.

I think I over studied and made myself anxious for the interviews I had prior to LSU, so I took a different approach and didn’t look at any study materials before this one. I felt more comfortable and relaxed going into it, and the clinical questions they asked me were completely random. There wouldn’t have been a way to really prepare for that.

did the interviewers tell anyone else they’d get an acceptable or other decision by august 4? They told me and a coworker that but neither heard anything today.

My friend interviewed today and she asked them straight up when she would hear something and they told her four weeks from now since they are still interviewing? But I thought today was the last day? Maybe not. I also emailed the Student affairs office today and they said “There is no final date set for the interview process as of yet, no acceptance emails have been sent out.”

 

So not sure if they’re doing more interviews to fill spots? Or they’ve changed something mid process. If anyone hears anything let us know! Waiting is the worst part!
