Okay, completing the readings and re-writing note cards all last week and devoting the entire weekend to reviewing regulatory & mental health (I still need to review endocrine) I did my practice exam A this afternoon and came out with a WHOPPING 56%. I was a bit suprised at some of the content but overall, I thought I had done the best that I had on any exam yet!! :uhoh3: I truly believe that this Fontaines Mental Health Nursing book is one of the poorest resources to date (mine is one edition older but the interventions are so bland and generic). I can see what a challenge I have ahead. I think I bombed my first chronicity exam too but BOOO....I thought I had done better than this. Will attempt practice exam B Tuesday and see how much I improve, I may need to move one more week over.

honestly, sometimes i wouldn't even give the practice exams much thought. sometimes i just pick anything so i could get the rationales and study. when i did give it a good effort, the highest i got was 68% and i believe that was my very 1st practice exam. once i saw how closely the practice exam resembles the real test... i said the heck with that & thinking!! i just made sure i bought the practice exam for every single test to see the questions and ensure a passing grade. it worked. i'm now waiting for fcca to arrive 5/13/11

Thanks! I always over analyze everything and after just glancing so far, I bombed Mental Health which is what I thought I did. The practice exam had different terms for 2 mental health disorders and it was more a priority q/a anyway but MAN, that burns my ***!!! I read EVERYTHING, and I read my pharamcology requirements TWICE and still, brand new terms pop up, lmao...ugh
