Any LPN's ever tried travel nursing before? I'm thinking about it but it seems a bit intimidating traveling to different states and living there for 4-6 weeks or whatever the assignment length is. I've searched different travel agencies that take LPN's such as Criticore which they seem to be good. How's the pay? I have about 2 solid years of good nursing experience from home care to doctor offices to nursing homes. And what about those really nice travel nurse benefits like "paid housing" and "food/fun money"? Just seems too good to be true like I'm traveling the U.S. and getting paid for free? Any and all comments accepted because this is something I might actucally do! :)
Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.
Most are 13 week assignments not 4-6 weeks. LPN assignments are limited because of scope of practice variations. Check out travel nursing forums here on allnurses
I know Maxim does. Where are you located? I worked for a smaller company in ND and did a couple assignments for them. I am about to start working per diem for a SD company.
