Hi:
I am an LPN and I have been thinking about continuing with my education to get my RN. I got my LPN degree in a community college, but I like to work as continute with my studies, I have seen many advertisemets on the face book and online about college net work LPN to RN program on line and I have called them and talked to them. However, hard for me to trust. So I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with doing RN online weather college network or any other online nursing program for Lpn to RN, and if so, how successful was it and if it was worth it. Thank you. I appriciate your great honesty.

You do not need The College Network they are just a publication company and their modules cost $500 each, you can get them on e-bay for well under $100. Although you really don't need them at all, just go to Excelsior and they tell you what books you need to get for each course. I am going to Excelsior right now LPN to ASN, there are alot of threads on here about this. Go to the student tab and then down to distance learning, I learned so much there!! Hope this helps and good luck!!!

Look in your local area for this program. Make sure the program is NLN accredited. Most of the brick and mortar colleges have many of their classes online. Then you at least have a contact person or place to go to if you need to talk to someone in person
