hi everyone
This is my first post. I have been a nurse 10 years just got accepted to RN bridge program. I'm really burned out with LTC my question to former lpns now RNs or all nurses, did your zeal renew after leaving a specific field. I hope getting my RN will give me a boost. Sorry for the typos, I made this post from my phone and I'm 37 yo btw.

Welcome to AN.com K_eshia_Y!
I transitioned to RN from LPN while working in chemical dependency treatment, so I already had a zeal for my field.
However, the larger paycheck really renewed me!
The best to you!

Worth the $ increase. And increased RN benefits.....if I were your young age, I definitely would go for an advanced nursing degree.....it is my personal experience that Lpn/Lvn to RN are better nurses, due to their increased clinical component......esp with demise of a lot of the diploma RN programs......
Just beware of pricey....online programs, vs....brick and mortar schools....
best wishes
Thanks, I recently starting working in a nursing position totally opposite of LTC and I feel a little better just hoping get renewed again I guess.í ½í¸

Thanks, oh i will be attending the old brick and mortar route, I tried online I didn't really care for it. The increase in pay is a plus, although I'm looking for more job opportunities.
