Hello, My name is Courtney and I have recently found out that I was accepted into the LPN program here in Georgia. I am super excited but also nervous because of the absolute unknown possibilities. I will be attending orientation on Jan 5th, and classes start on the 6th. Could you guys give me any helpful advice as to what I could expect... I'm taking MED SURG III, Pharmacology and Calculations, Nursing Fundamentals and Nursing Fundamentals Clinical. It all seems to be a bit overwhelming and I haven't even started yet!!! Please give me some sort of feedback on your previous experience thanks!

I went to Lanier Tech for my LPN. I loved their program. It was super intense but all nursing programs should be. It was not easy and I had to study hard. It was nice to have the other students for support. Once you finish, don't ever let anyone make you feel like you are not as good as an RN. Half the time I know more than the BSN students that walk up in here. Learning drug names (brand and generic) will come within time. I studied and memorized them in school. But it was not until I was actually a LPN that it started to come easily to me. Don't get distraught if you usually are a straight A student and can only make B's when you study a ton. know how to calculate right! We were required to not miss more than one question on our math calculation tests. Listen to the teacher and ask questions! Do not take anything personally if the teacher is very strict and professional. They are getting you ready for the real world and people's lives will be in your hand. Congrats on getting into the program!!

Hi, Thank you so much for your feedback! I am remaining positive and have prepped myself for the long nights of studying! I will keep in mind to not be sensitive(considering I do wear my feelings on my sleeves)and to listen and ask questions!
Thanks for that bit of advice! Also what title are you referencing to? I haven't used anything other than what I am currently which is a LPN STUDENT...........
