LPN scope of practice in MT

I am LVN CA considering a travel position in MT on med surg unit.

I have searched all morning for LPN-MT scope of practice and there seems to be none. So now I am inquiring here, perhaps any RN's that are working with LPN's in this capacity can give me a little information.

Thank you!

Hi,

I have worked with a few LPNs. In my hospital our LPN (we are a tiny hospital) takes a pt load and she does her own assessments, puts in IVs, foleys, NGs, etc. She can't hang antibiotics or do IV push meds or mix drugs (we are very small and mix our own drugs like abx and KCL). she does work in our ER and has assisted in L&D. She is great and we love her. Good luck
