PA SBON approved: Practical Nursing Programs

Look at District 1199 C, Temple's Episopal Hospital program (been around longest), Harrison Institute (provisional status---had not heard of their program before). Delaware County Technical Program just 10 minutes from SW Philly area too.

Good luck in finding a program!

1199C Training & Upgrading Fund-their LPN program is a JOKE if you ask me; they're not fulled accrediated, which means you CAN'T any federal student loans or grants. For most people, taking out a personal loan is not a viable option (poor credit etc.). Eastern Center for Arts & Technology (http://www.eastech.org) has both a full time (12 month) day & a part time (24 month/2 year) evening/wknd program (the part time program admits every 2 years); they ARE FULLY ACCREDIATED. Episcopal Hospital (http://www.templehealth.org/episcopalnursing/) also has a full time (12 month?) day program that is fully accrediated. You can also check out some of the surrounding counties' community colleges. **Just be sure to ask questions about their accrediation-1199C has been saying they would have theirs shortly, since sometime in the 1990's**
