2 LPN Schools in Pa.

Published

Hi,

This is my first post. I unfortunately was not able to complete a MCCC ADN in Pa. and now am looking at LPN training due to extreme waitlists. Does anyone have experience or info on Princeton Information Center in Glenside, PA. or Eastern Tech in Willow Grove, PA. regarding their LPN programs.

Eastern's program is closed until spring 2008 and I believe they have a good reputation. Princeton's website looks kind of "shady", but they are accredited by the PA BON.

All advice and direction is greatly appreciated!

the best thing to do before attending any school now days is to ask around about them 1st.speaking of pitc, they are not good at all. they are own by an indian couple who's just there to pick up your money. i know this because i went there april of 09. i wished someone had told me about them before i went there. i was so eager to start the lpn program i didnt even stop to think to ask around. anyhow, no one did any review about them at the time anyway. they didn't have financial aid so i paid out of pocket. i was the 5th class. all the students were complaining about the school. they give ati for every subject, anatomy & phys. nutrition and so on; you are to get 70% on every single 1 and if you fail them you get 1 more try if you don't pass then you are out. plus even tho you pass the class if you don't pass the ati that means you fail the class. other schools don't ask for such high scores or they don't count them at all. as for the nclex they only have a high passing rate because they send like 4 people to take the test at a time that way if they all pass that's what they will submit to the board. they start a class with between 50 to 60 students and they might end up with 20 or less at the end which include the ones who will be coming back to take some classes over...they take people with even low scores on the ati to make you think your dreams have come true not knowing that you're selling your soul to the devil. and the wife is also very rude and disrespectful at times. i went to her for help for anatomy she told me i need to start partying every wknd with my boyfriend; i don't know why she said that because she saw my husband come to the school several times even the time i got admitted to the school. so if you care about your time and money run when you see pitc, princeton information technology center at glenside, pa..i hated the school so much that i left there after 3 months of attending. i was doing really well, but i didn't want to continue giving them my money.

wow!!..thank you very much!!.. I must admit, I was always concerned over the fact that it took them so long to accept financial aid.. Im always weary about technical schools anyway..because I went to a surg tech program a few years back..and they were also scammers...My question to you is what are you doing now??? have you found another program?? I wish you the best of luck in your nursing career!

well, im currently going to community college of philadelphia to get credits so I can transfer to Lasalle univ. for my rn after I get the lpn at eastern center for arts and techn. or delaware county technical school. I am going to take the lpn because I need something fast cuz things are getting really expensive and I need something better asap lol. I'm sure that's why a lot of other good people fall into bad schools out there because they know that we are desperate to become nurses. But God's willing we will get it done regardless...Good luck to everyone who's trying to make it; I know it's hard but we must not give up...thanks for the luck :)

ur right..thats why I looked into lpn programs..because I basically wanted to accelerate my progress also..I currently have credits at ccp too..I need to take micro, bio 110 and stats..to complete my pre reqs ..thanx again..for your help! and ur right..God willing we'll look back at these post and smile!! take care!!

hey i wanted to see how you're doing and what you're up to? I wish i knew about the school sooner too...

Don't click on the link. This poster is just trying to drive traffic to a blog to get hits. There is no information worth reading at the site. It's all just generic stuff that you probably already know.
