hi, i'm new to the forum and to Floirda too. I want to find a school near Orlando that is not to far for me to drive. I looked at Orlando Tech (?) but they got a long wait list. Is there any more schools near to here that doesn't have to wait as long? If so, do you like the school? Thanks

I am in Tampa and can relate. Try Rasmussen in Ocala, Im not sure how far that is for you but they have a nursing program

Hello. I am also in the same situation here in Orlando and trying to decide if I want to stay here or if I want to move elsewhere to try to get in to a program. So you already know about Orlando tech. The only other lpn program I know IN Orlando is at seminole community college. Other than that there is one that I have heard of in osceola county that I don't really know much about any may be quite a drive depending on where you live.

If Kissimmee isnt too far of a drive, try TECO (Technical Education Center of Osceola).

I graduated from their LPN program in July '08, and my class had a 100% pass rate :nurse: for NCLEX.

There is no waiting list , but you do need to take the TABE (12.0 score) and NET (63%), and have an interview. New classes start every Jan & Aug and are 11 months (fulltime). They may be offering a part time (18 mo) LPN class next year.

Below is the link for their LPN information packet:

Good luck !

Hi I see that you graduated TECO and I wanted to know what does the TABE test includes or what do I need to study for it. I want to get in their LPN program and I am just worry about the tabe test. Thank you.

You can go to the library and check a study guide out for the TABE. I graduated in '85 and was concerned, but I went thru the guide, and passed the first time. Heres a link with a free study guide also : http://www.studyguidezone.com/tabetest.htm

Thank you so much for your reply.
