I live in CT and have seen several advertisements for school nurses where they are looking for an LPN. (if I remember correctly, Torrington school district had an ad for an LPN not long ago)
It all depends on the school district on whether or not they have LPN's as school nurses. I know my particular school district only hires RN's. But honestly, with the rate of pay they are offering the RN, they are going to be hard pressed to fill the position. LPN's would even scoff at the pay per hour. Honestly, they weren't offering much more than a CNA makes. Which is probably why they are still looking to fill the position.
