Does anyone know an LPN's annual salary?

You can go to http://www.salary.com/ and type in LPN and the city and state you live in. That gives you a basic idea of the salary for your area.

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

I have always found this to be extremly inaccurate. I work 28 hours a week and earn more than the top salary posted for lvn's. And it's not just me most of the people I work with make same as well. I think it has to do with area , how long you have been a nurse and experience in the particular area. Ive had better luck by looking in the work section of the paper. They always have LPN's RN's starting at XXX.Then you can go from there....

I live in Cleveland Ohio I'm make around 37,000 working for a county hospital. just under 18 buck p/hr. Nursing homes pay about 20-24 buck p/hr and agencies 23-27 p/hr.

I work as an IP (independent provider) I am making $55 The first hour and $22.80 each hour after that. I can make as little or as much as I want, but I generally work 20-30 hours a week and I am making close to $40,000 this year

Always thoought Memphis was a beautiful area, I am interested in relocating there and have check with some hospital for info and salary range, first they want you to fill out application, unable to do that waiting for licencse to come from there, I have heard you are able to work in Arkansas and Miss also.

My son is in college there and a Marine reservist so I would like to move closer to him if poss. I am looking for a nice area to live in but would like to know what the hospitals are like, patient load , 12 hour shifts shift diff's, bonuses, overtime, what happens when your census goes down does the hosital send you home, does Memphis have a slow time of year, which are the better hospital to work at, as you can see I have many questions.

When i visited Memphis last year I was impressed with the friendliness of

its people, I wish someone would be able to give me some important information. I have been to salary.com not sure if that range is adequate.

Thanks
