lpn to Rn--Rue vs excelsior

Published

I am currently a LPN and im trying to find a program that i can do fast to go to Rn. i have all my pre reqs out of the way and done. i just don't want to wait out a year before i can apply to a program! are there any schools in texas that will do a bridge program without having to be a lpn for one year?

also i have already talked to RUE program advisor. its going to cost about $9,000. what is the difference in rue and excelsior, which one is better?! are they both accepted in the state of texas? would i be able to find a job having a degree from those places?!

PLEASE HELP! im so confused

Specializes in ICU, PICC Nurse, Nursing Supervisor.

there are so many threads on this subject...do a search and you will find your answer. bottom line is rue is a publishing company and does not grant degrees....excelsior is the college where your nursing degree will come from....go directly through excelsior and skip rue....you will save about 4-5k
