Hey guys. I'm currently in my LPN program, but plan on going straight to the LPN-RN program at my community college. I found out today that you can CLEP out of a whole semester by taking Excelsior tests for Peds, OB, and Psych. Has anybody done these tests? I was just wondering what kind of study material is available for them and what the cost is. I'm way ahead on my bookwork for the LPN program and will probably have it all completed in October or November, but will barely be started on clinicals, so I will have plenty of time to study for these clep tests and take them before I even graduate. Thanks for any info!

Good luck on your exams! I'm an Excelsior grad, but I can't specifically advise you on those exams because the peds, OB, and psych exams don't apply to our degree. (They're designed for students in programs like yours who offer some kind of advanced standing/credit by exam.)
If you go to www.excelsior.edu , you should find study guides for these exams. They don't spell out the test material, but they do suggest recommended textbooks, chapters and concepts to focus on.
Best of luck!
