LPN to RN...online or not

Published

I have seen a few other threads for this topic before but I had to ask anyways....

I graduate from an LPN program in CT this August and would like to continue my education. I already have an associates degree in Liberal Arts so I already have most of the classes necessary for an RN program such as A&P, micro, ect. I signed up for the LPN program because I had a difficult time getting into an RN program(space limitations) in CT and I am afraid the same thing might happen again. I am currently looking in other states such as FL to continue my education, I have also considered online programs. Any suggestions.

Thanks

If CT will accept http://www.excelsior.edu by all means go on-line.

I did so. I've completed all of my classes (by test) and am just waiting to test for clinical. Then on to the boards.

You have to be self0motivated and self-disciplined to do it, but it works for me as I hate school.

Hello~

It really depends on your learning style and motivation (as Suesquatch said). I've chose to complete my RN through EC because I just can't stomach the thought of sitting in a classroom for another year...YUCK!! Just make sure that if you choose EC to check with the states you may be interested in working in BON to verify that EC is accepted. Good luck to you in whatever you choose.
