Microbiology and Nursing Courses

Hello all! I was accepted into the LPN-RN program starting spring 2017. I am taking Microbiology and Lpn to RN transition course. I have noticed many students took Microbiology before starting the nursing program. Things just did not work out that way for me to do it. I hope I am not taking on to much. I am a mom of a 2 yr old and 7 yr old. I will only be working prn, if at all. I would consider myself a good student when it comes to putting in the studying time and know the demands of nursing school from being in the LPN program in 2012. I am looking for words of encouragement or personal experiences of taking Microbiology during the RN program. Thank you!

I took microbiology as a corequisite course in the LPN-to-ASN transition program that I attended back in 2009. It was challenging since the empirical sciences are not my academic strong points.

I earned a 'C' grade in the microbiology course. However, since I was already in the program, 'C' equaled 'degree.'
