I graduated LPN in December of 2015. I've been a PCT with Florida Hospital since May of 2015 and an LPN with a rehabilitation hospital (HealthSouth) since March of 2016. I currently work full time as an LPN (three 12 hour shifts/week) and PRN as a PCT (twice a month).
I just put my resignation in at HealthSouth as an LPN since I just got accepted to the LPN to RN transition program at my local state college. I'm going FT at Florida Hospital. The program is only ten months long. Do you think it's a bad idea to quit the nursing job? I am gaining lots of good experience, but I am guaranteed a neruo/PCU RN job at the hospital when I graduate. They told me to think about staying PRN at HealthSouth (twice a month), but I am fearful this won't work with my school schedule and I really want to focus on RN school........ opinions???

Do you have a contract for this "guaranteed" job? Are you quitting the LPN job to work as a PCT? I'm a little confused...
