Well I must say that I am quite nervous about starting the rn program.
I am nervous because it has been a while since I have worked in Med-Surg and for some reason I feel that;I should have had all of my exp there. I have been an lpn for 2 years and I worked in an outpatient wound care center and the emergency room. I am so nervous about clinicals I haven't worked in 4 months. Can someone please offer some advice. :stone

No advice, but you were able to do the LPN so I am sure you can do the RN program. :) Best of luck to you!!!!! Just work hard, I am sure you will do great! I am finishing up my pre-reqs for the LPN-RN program here. I cant wait to start mine. Let us know how it goes.
Good luck!!!!

You probably have more experience than any of the other students! I transitioned last semester from a voc LPN school to another school to continue on to RN. I was the only liscenced LPN in the class (though I had no experience). The other students will probably be asking you questions at clinical. :)

I was a LPN and worked my way through RN school. Some advice: stay positive but don't be a know it all. Don't correct your instructors (OR the nurses in clinical) even if they say something out of sync with today's practices. Resist having a 'tale' to tell on every subject.
There is nothing worse than an arrogant student nurse ....from an instructor and nurse POV. Maintain a respectful, professional and learning attitude and you will do just fine!! I was always teachers' pet in RN school...because they knew I was a LPN and I was careful how I presented myself. :)
