Hello.
Does anyone have any experience w/ having to take an exam (NLN or equivalent) to challenge the whole 1st year of nursing? I have been an LPN for 17 years, I am currently attending a local CC to persue an ADN. I am taking classes PT, working Ft, doing my pre-req's. I have decided to take this exam after this semster . I live in NC. Does every CC require this? This college does not offer the bridge program.
Thanks for any response.

I challenged OB and PEDs NLN ACE exams and passed both in Nov 07. I studied ATI books and NCLEX practice books. I've been an LPN for 19 years, so I was in the same boat you are. You can do it!! I was scared spending the non-refundable money, but I'm SO glad I did!! Good luck!!

Come to Memphis TN! Here at SouthWest Tennessee Community College you dont have to take the NLN at all to get in the LPN to RN program. This is why I plan on getting accepted into a LPN program here and go back to get my RN. The only thing you need is an grade of a C or higher in all preqs Principle of Nurtriton, English Comp1, A&P1, A&P2, and Microbiology as well as your LPN license. Since I have taken them all besides my A&P's I plan to go back and finish my RN once becoming a LPN. I wish you luck! But no not all schools require you to take a NLN when enrolling in a LPN- RN program.
