I was thinking about going for my RN but I think that I will just do LPN to start, any opinions? The hospital I work in does hire some LPN's but mostly RN's can anyone else tell me about places in Ohio, do they hire LPN's?
Trish
in central ohio....hospitals are so short staffed they are hiring a large group of lpn's and they must sign an agreement to get their rn within 2 years......that way they get what they need....rn's
That is good info! I am in Columbus...just curious.. what hopitals have you known of doing this? Although it will be 2 years before I am an LPN, I am always checking out whats being offered!
Where are you at in Ohio? The hospitals in Fayette county, Clinton county, Greene county, Adams and Brown County, Clermont County, and all around there do hire LPN's. Most will offer a tuition plan if you plan on getting your RN also.
I am not sure where you are in OHio, but, I know that there is a community hospital in Springfield that will help or pay tuition when you agree to work for them while going to school for ADN on their campus.
I think clinton county hospital hires LPN's instead of or in addtion to MA. Dont quote me on that, but, I have heard that. I am in clinton county and I was also interested in a postion there.
Let me know if you find anything interestng... good luck.
I am currently attending Brown Mackie College, in Findlay, Ohio.
It is a 14 month program and they have a 97% pass rate the first time on the nclex test. It is a very stringent program, but they say they do that so that you pass the boards the first time, and it does work......I am in my 5th month now. I love it....... If you would like some info, let me know, I can get you in contact with my person.....the cost is about $10,000 dollars.
Thanks,
Angela Trumble
