LPN Online Schools

Nursing Students Online Learning

Published

Happy New Years Everyone,

I am a Certified Medical Assistant of 10+ years and I've worked with LPN's and RN's. I have decided to continue my education in nursing doing LPN and then on to RN. I am currently looking for a LPN online school, but have not been successful. All I see is LPN-RN and RN-BSN can someone please help me?! Being a Certified Medical Assistant for these years I have worked with LPN's and RN's and learned alot. I do vitals, injections, triaging, refill of RX, schedule procedures and assist with different procedures. While in the clinic I do the same thing an LPN does. I want to start school in the fall. Can someone please suggest an online school?

Sorry, but I don't believe there is an online LPN school. I've heard of a couple of hybrid programs with online classes and in-person clinicals, but that's the most "online" you'll probably find. You will have to complete in-person clinicals for your initial nursing education.

Trust me, because I know this -- working with RNs/LPNs doesn't make you one, no matter how many years you've been doing it. If that were the case, I would have been an RN a few years ago before I went through nursing school. ;) But look at it like this -- you'll have an advantage when you DO go to school that you've had some great experience that will give you a leg up on your studies! Best of luck to you.

There are currently no online LPN schools in the US, only hybrid schools where you must attend clinical rotations in person. If you should by chance find such a program, please come back and post about it here as this question comes up here quite often. So far no one has found a program. Good luck with your plans.
