Hi all, I'm a week away from flunking my 4th semester of RN school. I know in my state I can take the LPN boards. What should I study? Any recommendations for books? Is it mainly medication focused? Any info and tips would be appreciated, thanks.

I have the "Mosby's Comprehensive Review of Practicle Nursing for the NCLEX-PN Examination."
I comes with a CD that has thousands of NCLEX questions on it, and if you set it as "review" you get the rationale pop up as you answer each question. That's helped me loads. Also the first part of the book reads like a text book review, so it's pretty handy.
Also go to "atitesting.com" this some company that does nationalized testing for LPN programs. They have many books and resources all set up like NCLEX style.

Are you actually in a two year program, or a four year program? With the four year program, you need to complete four years to be able to sit for the exam.
The exam is much more than medication focused and it will require full preparation from one of the review books of such. Focus is very different from the RN exam.
I'm in a two year program, or was. But I can sit for the LPN boards. Thanks!

Also consider purchasing Helen Feuer's Nursing Review CDs or tapes. They are like sitting in a lecture. Type that name into your browser and go to the site. I wish you luck!
