Exactly how much math is involved in an lpn program?

math for medication administration involves up to the pre-algebra level or 8th grade math. you need to be able to do ratios and work with fractions (add, subtract, multiple and divide them). you also need to know measurements; that 1 cup = 8 ounces, etc.

if you are in california, you won't be worrying so much about iv, but you will cover it (it really depends on the school and instructor.)
mostly, you will be using this formula (or a variation thereof):
