I am a newly-licensed LPN in Southern CA and am having a horrible time trying to find work. There are very few jobs to begin with (as healthcare facilities in this area are phasing out LPN's in exchange for RN's), and most places only want to hire nurses with experience. I am so frustrated that I am considering relocating to a different state.
What is the current LPN market like in the Phoenix area? Are available jobs decreasing, staying the same, or increasing? What's the average hourly pay? In what settings (i.e., LTC, home health, hospitals) do most LPN's work?
Thank you so much for your input! :wink2:

Good question!! I would guess that most LPNs work in long-term-care, here.
Someone else could give you a better answer, though.
