LPN/LVN working in Japan as civilan for US military

Published

Anyone know how I can go about this? I am graduating this September and I would like to somehow work in Japan via civilian LVN/LPN for any military branch located in Japan. Would this be possible? Please advise thanks :)

Usually will require at least an RN after your name.

Military corpsmen are usually treated similar to LPNs, and are trained directly by the military.

Any job postings that I have ever seen are strictly for the RN. And most are now also requiring the BSN.

I checked USAJobs (the federal government job site) and found one listing for a nurse opening in Japan attached to the Naval Medical Command. I have no idea if this link will work:

It's hard to decipher GS codes and requirements, but it's an RN only role.

The DoD used to have it's own job site also, but I wasn't able to get to it tonight. Try: http://dod.jobsearch.org/

Here's a listing of all the Civilian Job Opportunity sites for the different branches. You could try searching them individually.

Good luck!
