Lpn/lvn

I was wondering if any hospitals in the Tucson/Oro Valley area hire LPN's? I'm relocating from Ohio next month and looking everywhere for a job. I can't seem to find anywhere hiring LPN's, even nursing homes. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but I'm not really sure where to look either. Can anybody help me out?

I work for an LTAC (long term acute care) hospital in Tucson. You can google "Cornerstone Healthcare Group" to find the website. We are currently looking for LPN's. It's a small hospital but a great place to work, also check into Kindred, Healthsouth and the V.A. Good luck.

One of my (LPN) co-workers also has a part time job at Northwest Hospital. This person told me this weekend that Northwest Hospital has started hiring LPN's in some departments due to a nursing shortage, and even offers tuition reimbursement for their LPN-BSN bridge program as long as you agree to work for them for 3 years after graduation. Most clinicals are held at the site. Apparantly they don't pay as well as LTC, but you can't beat the educational benefits.

I work through an agency that uses LPNs exclusively in long-term care. However, in some facilities I have been, I have met experienced LPNs working for other agencies that do allow IV certified LPNs to do hospital shifts.

wow thanks. that's awesome. i did my preceptor in an ltach here and i loved it! I looked it up on google and there's an application to print out and mail in to Texas. Is that right? I'm really interested in working there.

Texas is where our corp. headquarters is located. Go to the website and look under locations, find the Tucson location, give them a call and ask for HR. I think that would be quicker than going through corporate.

I saw lots of LPNs at Northwest hospital when I did clinicals there.

I wish that hospitals would utilize LPNs. I believe that they can be a great help in the hospital setting.
