LPN/LVN School in Pattaya, Thailand?

Published

...for purposes of work visa and licensure in ca.

i'm trying to help out a girl that i met and it seems the lpn/lvn route would be the fastest.

anyone knows of schools in the area of pattaya or where i could find out about lvn/lpn schools in thailand?

according to cgfns foreign educated lpn/lvn's are also eligible to apply for occupational visa's to work in the us.

(cgfns), administers the visascreen™: visa

credentials assessment program for internationally born

registered and practical nurses, physical therapists, speech

language pathologists and audiologists, medical technologists,

medical technicians, occupational therapists, and physician

assistants who are seeking an occupational visa to work in the

united states.

...better yet, a school in Pattani province on the southern peninsula close to Malaysia. That way she can be closer to her family. Thank you.

Suzzane, you know anything?

The LPN is not going to get them the green card, and you never, ever want a temporary work permit as a nurse. And I have not seen immigration issuing a visa of any type for the LPN to work in the US. CGFNS is only a company, they do not issue visas, and immigration is not doing it. They only way is if the LPN marries an American or a green card holder.

Thailand has four year RNs, that are equivalent to the BSN, and that is what a first level professional nurse needs from there to qualify for here.

When you start to take short cuts, it is going to turn around and bite you. The schools like that are popping up all over, especially in the Philippines, but immigration is not approving them for visas. The license or being permitted to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam does not qualify one for a job automatically in the US. You must have a visa that permits it.

If you are asking for my advice, run as fast you can away from that.

There are a couple of schools in the BKK area that are taught 100% in English and accept foreign students from all over. And they are 4 year BSN programs.

Listen to Suzanne.

You friends should get the BSN and become an RN. If any school is telling her (or you) she will get sponsered (by a hospital) to come to the States as an LVN/LPN they are dishonest. It is a shame since many of those schools know the truth and are taking advantage of hard working people.

What about PERM visa for LPN/LVN???

What's a perm? :nuke:

permanent vs temporary

what about perm visa for lpn/lvn???

there are no work visas issued for lpns to work in the us. it does not meet requirements of immigration. the only way is to marry an american or a green card holder, and get a visa thru them, and then that is considered immigration fraud if done for that reason.

the schools can tell you what ever they want, the real truth is that it is not going to happen. sure, you may be able to write the nclex-pn exam, but it still takes a visa to work, in addition to the license to be able to legally work in the us.

perm does not cover lpns, it is a technical degree, not a professional degree.

permanent vs temporary

PERM is actually a process in immigration, but is not being used for nurses, as they are fast-tracked under different policies.

Forget about it even existing.
