LPN/LVN Online Program?

Nurses LPN/LVN

Are there any LPN/LVN programs online? I have seen LPN/LVN to RN, but not strictly LPN/LVN. Iwas considering getting my second degree BSN, but every one of those programs I've found STRONGLY suggest or require you not to work while completing the program. I cannot not work, so that isn't an option for me at this time.

With me tight work schedule I need the convenience of online courses. Of course I will take the clinicals on site, but I was hoping I could take those in the evening/night or weekends. So are their any online coursed for aspiring LPN/LVNs?

From experience its going to be hard to work n go to school. It's possible n people have done it but none was full time in my class.. Just have strong support and a lot of money plus daycare lined up if you have kids..My school was very stressful all I know to tell u is to pray everyday because its no walk in the park even the women on nights n weekends said it but use your own judgement

Nursing school takes a great deal of sacrifice... Every state requires a certain number of hours of onsite clinical and in school lab, plus learning the fundimentals is so tough I seriously doubt such a thing, that is accredited exists. There are lots of degrees that can be done solely online, but in general nursing basics aren't one of them. From what I hear accelerated BSN programs are even worse (more time consuming/difficult). You might check to see if any schools in your area offer an evening/weekend option, I know there are a couple (2LPN, 1RN that I know of) in my area. They take longer, like 3 yr for ADN, and 18 months to 2 yr for LPN, but if you have to work full time it is the best route for a lot of people. The programs that I have heard of generally consist of two evenings a week with clinicals on saturdays, sometimes every other weekend. If you live in a descent sized city I am sure there is at least one such program that would be available to you. Everyone seems to be searching for one but trust me there are no short cuts when it comes to nursing education. Some of my fellow LPN students, back in the day, did choose to work full time or pretty close to it, the failure rate of those students were much higher than the rest of the class. But we had a traditional day time 4-5 days per week schedule, so it required a very flexible work schedule.

You may be able to complete some prerequisites online but as for the actual nursing part of the program you pretty much have to do it in person. Nursing involves a lot of physical skills that can't be learned/practiced sitting at a computer. Before you can participate in clinicals you have to learn and practice these skills before they turn you loose on real patients.

You have to have clinical time in a clinical setting. Nothing for an LPN is all online only.
