Pass rate

I was just wondering... what you consider to be an acceptable NCLEX pass rate for an LPN school, and what your school's NCLEX pass rate was/is if you don't mind sharing?

The private school that I'm thinking about attending has an 82% pass rate... there is another school that I'm thinking about going to that has a 100% pass rate, but their LPN program lasts 2 years. Is 82% considered bad? :uhoh21:

The LPN program I attended was 10 1/2 months long with a 100% first time pass rate for the NCLEX. There was alot of focus on study & test taking skills.

You would need to find out a little more info. (You might have already) Like, how long has the program been established? Are they accredited? Cost? You have to weight this all out.

My school has a great sounding 100% pass rate at my campus, but there have only been 3 graduating classes from that campus so far....25/25 is great, but you really cant compare that to 800/1000 for total test taken.

Good for you for being proactive and asking questions though. With the "shortage" of nursing programs available, many just jump into the first thing they are offered.
