:pntrghi:Smiley2030 I know of a shool if your nursing classes hasn't been over 5yrs old the D.O.N will take your classes and allow you to apply for the program. Mind you the LPN progam at this school only takes students that has already did there eight core classes with a B or above."hopes this helps

Hi, SPN2011

Thank you so much. Do you think Savannah Tech will transfer my nursing courses. I know that my pre requisite will be transfered. Because so far all the school that I have applied, they did not give me credits for my nursing courses. They only gave me credits for my pre requisites.

I truely believe that the school will honor your nursing course, but all I can tell you is look on the website or give them a call the number is 912-443-5700 and ask for the Practical Nursing Department. :specs: they will defenantly answer some more of your questions. I myself can only give you answers based on my own experiences. Hope this helps. Pls let me no how it turns out. add me on your friends list if you want. Once again I hope you have a blessed and productive journey.

Thank you, I will call them on monday and then I will let you know. i have added you in the friends list.

Hi,

I just called Savannah Tech, and the lady on the phone told me to apply the shcool and the admissions office will evaluate the transcript. She did not tell me if they transfer the nursing credits. She told me to apply and send all my transcripts. So, I don't know what to do since I have already applied few places and none of them transferred my nursing coures. Let me know if you have find a school that will give at least some credits. It is really hard to start all over again since I completed 4 years of BSN, but just could not make it. I was on my last semester of program and you can imagine how hard it is when you don't graduate inspite of all the hard work. Anyway, thanks for all your help.

I understand how you feel at this point because I myself had one quarter left before graduation from an LPN program and I had to drop out and can you imagine that I had to start all over again and thats where I am today but this is something I wanted to do is complete what I started. so as they say in the military I had to suck it up and drive on. So I tell you pls don't give up I want to see you finish what you started and thats to become a Certified nurse, pls don't give in to disappointments.

Thank you for the encouragment. you are right. I will not give up but I will show them that I can be a nurse. When they kick me out of the program, they told me I should try something else but not nursing. They discourage and told me that nursing is not for me and I want to prove them wrong. Based on one course they tell me that I cannot be a nurse. I have applied at Dekalb tech and I will also try to apply at savannah tech too eventhoug savannah is far for me, but if they give me some credits for my nursing courses, I will attend that school. By the way, I forgto to ask you, which school are you in for LPN.

Hi,

So are you in the first semester of the LPN. I called Dekalb yesterday and the advisor told me I have to wait until January 2010 because they will deceide another 20 students in January. At savannah tech, when do they accept new students. Since you are in savannah tech, can you tell me how the program is and how long is the program.
