I would like to know if they have LPN's in other countries, such as: England, France, etc??

If you have not done so already, it might be a prudent idea if you visited this site's International Nurses Forum. I included the link for you below. Doing this might ensure that you receive an answer to your question. Good luck!

LPN's did exist in the UK. They were known as State Enrolled Nurses and were what we consider full scope here in Canada. There are some still working over there but no new ones are being trained. They were encouraged to become RN's by their health authorities. I'm not sure if they had to pay for it themselves as back in the '80' and part of the '90 nursing personnel were all hospital trained and paid a small wage whilst in training. So maybe the National Health Service or some branch of the British government picked up the tab.
I think the SEN also worked in Australia and New Zealand so maybe its a Commonwealth thing.
One woman I went through my PN training with did move to the UK and was accepted into a nursing programme there but never did get all the details. She had family overthere and they did a lot of the leg work for her.
I'm not sure this should go in the international nurses area because I wouldn't have thought to look there for this topic.
