Hi! I just took my NCLEX-PN and found out yeseterday that I passed. Now my next venture is to find a job as an LPN in Long Island, NY. What is the best way of getting a job? Is it better going through a staffing angency or going directly to the hospitals? Are there any hospitals that hire LPNs or is it pretty much Long Term Care facilities that hire LPNs? I just recently moved down from upstate where hospitals employ LPNs.

Most LTC facilities would probably be more than happy to hire you. I hear that they have short orientations, but, maybe some of them may offer just what you need as a new nurse. I live in New York, but not in Long Island. We have some hospitals that still employ LPNs, mine being one of them. Congrats on passing the boards and good luck in your new career.
