what to wear?
I know this might sound stupid but I'm putting it out there. What should one wear when going for an interview? I mean I don't want to be over dressed and be under dressed. When I was in school my instructor told the class to wear bussiness casual. I just wanted to get ideas.

I had mixed emotions too, I would think that if only I could have a couple more questions I would feel so much better. I know the waiting to find out makes you just want to go crazy. It is normal to be thinking the way you are thinking. If you took the boards through Pearsonvue, you can find out within two bussiness days (or maybe even earlier than that). I checked pearson everyday after I took the test and actually got my results on a sunday instead of a tuesday. I'm sure you did well.

RN student - can I challenge the LVN/LPN NCLEX?
I also did that, I failed the last class I needed to graduate with an RN degree. Here in NY they are getting rid of allowing ADN students to take the NCLEX-PN by June 1st. The old rule allowed RN students to take the LPN boards after three semesters of nursing school. Your nursing school department should know if there are any new rules or what. Definetely find out so you don't get locked out.

About LPN NCLEX state boards
I used Saunders and Kaplan books. I liked the Kaplan book alot because it tells you how to take computerized tests. I too am a bad test taker. I also purchased the Q-bank from Kaplan and did alot of my review from that. I took my boards this past friday and recieved my quick results from pearsonvue yesterday, and I passed. I had 85 questions.

LPN Jobs in Long Island, NY
Hi! I just took my NCLEX-PN and found out yeseterday that I passed. Now my next venture is to find a job as an LPN in Long Island, NY. What is the best way of getting a job? Is it better going through a staffing angency or going directly to the hospitals? Are there any hospitals that hire LPNs or is it pretty much Long Term Care facilities that hire LPNs? I just recently moved down from upstate where hospitals employ LPNs.

I just took the NCLEX - PN, my thoughts.
Hi everyone, I'm new here, I was reading things here on the 18th after I took my NCLEX PN, the computer shut off at 85 and I wasn't expecting to get 85 questions only. I was hoping somewhere in the middle, but when that computer shut off at 85, my heart dropped and thought that I had failed and left the testing center drained. Friday night to Sunday night was hell for me, I tried to keep myself busy to try not to think about the boards. The more I thought of if and looking up the questions I remembered made me feel worse and worse thinking that I failed, but found out yesterday that I passed. Well, an "unofficial" pass from pearson. So to those who are going to be taking your NCLEX soon, you never know. Stay calm (although I know it's easier said than done) but it helps alot.

RN student doing LPN
Hi there! I too are a newbie here. I'm also in the same boat as you. I was in nursing school for my RN but failed my last class and unable to graduate as an RN. I just took my LPN boards this past friday and found out yesterday that I passed. My advice in taking the boards is try to be calm (easier said than done) but that help me alot. Also try to just do the questions as they come (i tried not to pay so much attention to what number I was at). I just checked my time and paced myself. Good luck and let me know how you did.
