  1. I need advice on hemorrhagic ovarian cysts ASAP. It somewhat ruptured or leaked a few days ago and I got rushed to the ER because of severe severe pain. Its on the right ovary it measures 5.1x4.4x6.5 cm. I do have a history of complications such as: heavy, irregular and painful periods. I have been this way since I was 15. The NP thinks I should have it removed as does alot of people. My options were to leave it alone and have pain here and there and once my menstrual cycle comes and goes I could get another ultrasound to see if it shrinks, I could wait until I have my menses and go on birth control and after my menses get an ultrasound and hope it goes away or down, or I can get it removed. I have a surgical pre-op appt this Monday a.m and possible surgery (Laproscopic) on Tuesday or Thursday. My dilema....I start a brand new job on March first!!! Please if you have any information to go through with it or wait it out etc let me know. The new job however IDK will appreciate me leaving for a medical issue once I start so I am trying to debate if I should get it done before I go in. The pain has diminished however it can come back any time. I was told to not lift anything heavy or do anything strenuous and I also heard that stress can cause it to rupture.
  2. Depends on if your an RN or LPN and where you live. In NJ only RN's are being taken into hospitals. I think if you have the opportunity to work in the hospital I'd go for it!! You'd get much more experience and knowledge that a nursing home. It may be scary to just jump right in but that's the only way you'll learn. Good Luck!
  3. What is a good pulse oximeter finger device I need one for work ASAP I don't want anything too too pricy please let me know if you know of any good ones and websites that are ligit. Thanks!!!
  4. someone told mei was just wondering what the side effects were I cannot seem to find the info online anywhere
  5. I know of a friend who is abusing 75 mcg fentanyl patches. This person is sucking all of the liquid out of the patch I wanted to know if anyone knew of the side effects (I would think they would be more dangerous than just putting it on transdermally) I am going to confront this person but I want proof so if any of the side effects are occuring to her body she will know even if she doesn't admit it. I tried to look it up online but nothing is really stating any side effects if you suck out the gel it only states about transdermal use. Please if you have any information share it with me I would greatly appreciate it
  6. Ok so I am a recent graduate from late July and I just passed my Nursing test in November and now I am making a resume...yes maybe a little late but I finally have time and I need help badly...I was never good at this. Does anyone have a site that I could use to help guide me through it. I don't have experience other than school and clinical. Please if anyone can help I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you:icon_smile:
  7. I just took my nclex for pn and I am freaking out...I got all medication questions & select all that apply & only one math question and even the select all that apply were meds...it shut off at low 80's/85 I feel like I bombed it :uhoh21:. Can anyone tell me if they ever just got meds?? and also how does the select all the apply work do u have to get all of them right or is there some leeway?

  9. From morris county tech I think I will send out the papers becuase it says that I need a passport photo with it. Thank you so much for your help. So in NY you dont have to be fingerprinted? and are you taking your test for NY and NJ
  10. i just recently graduated a pn program on the 27th and now have to register for my nclex test in nj. is there a way to fill out the application online and pay online too? and how long does it take to process all of this and then get where i have to go for my fingerprints and backround check? i also heard that after all of this i will get something in the mail and then have to pay an additional $200 for the testing itself and then i get a date how long does all of this take if i were to register in 2 weeks? please if possible respond asap i would greatly appreciate it. thank you!
  11. Thank you very much for all of your feedback it was helpful!
  12. I was wondering how much the nclex test was in NJ 2006. I will be graduating this July from LPN school in and the teachers are still not sure how much it is going to be. If you could tell me around how much and when you needed it by..for ex. you signed up on such and such date to reserve a specific date and place to take the boards in NJ do you need the money then or when you go to take it? and how early can you sign up? also what was the majority of the test for the people who took it last year 2006 and how did you study for it. I purchased Saunders flash cards for LPN NCLEX review did anyone ever use these>? I am very nervous because I am not good at taking tests. Please if you could let me know about everything I've mentioned in this forum it would really help me out alot. I appreciate you time. Thank you!
