applying for jobs

I recently applied for a few jobs online. I could never get ahold of the lady at one of the, but it was quite a drive away and I would of had to move. Another place called, but it was in Indiana and a good hour drive so I canceled that interview. I have a job I like now, but the pay is'nt the greatest and I may have to file bankruptcy if I stay there or I will never get caught up on bills. I also have a PRN job, but you never know how many days you will get each month and its about 30 miles away. Anyway, I applied to a place that is only about 15 minutes away and it sounds like they actually have some benefits, but I have'nt heard anything since late last week. I applied through email and the job has recently been in the paper too. Should I give them a call to check up on it or just wait it out?

I am a little hesitant about a new job right now because if I can hold out for about another month and a half, I should be getting a decent bonus for staying at my current job for a year and I don't want to waste that. At the same time, I don't want to pass up an opportunity. Plus I don't know, they may even have part-time or PRN available, but since they have'nt called, it makes me wonder if something is wrong with my resume or something?
