LPN just hired for chronic dialysis

I was just hired to start work in chronic dialysis facility. I shadowed an RN there this week and I think I will like it but wow it looks overwhelming! I start the 11th and will be precepted by a tech. Their techs look to be verrrrry good and know a lot. Wish me luck! Thanks:)

Good luck! I just transfered (a month ago) to acute dialysis in the hospital that I work. It can be very overwhelming in the beginning and there is a ton to learn! I am loving it though :redpinkhe

ha ha i am a preceptor certified tech who works for davita, currently waiting on my acceptance letter for spring 09. it is a lot of work, the lpn where i work sometimes have to take a section like a tech when we are short, otherwise she passes meds but we can't start in the morning until we have a rn in the building. good luck to you.
