Hey guys, I'm an lpn student in long island NY, and I live in New Hyde Park, I know that it's hard for an lpn to find a job at a hospital, but are there any jobs available for lpn's at clinics???? And what other options do I have besides nursing homes?? Thank you to anyone that can give me some insight..:)

HI nymom,
I also live in New Hyde Park and just got my LPN license 2 weeks ago. Did you have any luck finding a job, and do you know where I should apply? I feel I've applied to so many places but with not even a return phone call yet.

Hey, I live in Massachusetts and I talked to a RN at Children's hospital that said a lot of jobs were being offered to LPNs in clinics. I didn't know that was an option, but after I found out I was pretty excited. That would be a great job to land! Good luck on your job searches, I start my program in August!

I'm a licensed LPN. There are lots of jobs for LPNs in clinic settings. I have worked in an urgent care, and dermatology clinic as an LPN myself. Once you graduate, & are licensed, just start looking. The sky is the limit! :) However, I am not in NY, so not sure what the job market is like there.
